New Sofortbild Beta version includes D5000 support

Please try out the new beta version of Sofortbild which includes support for Nikon D5000. It is otherwise basically the same version as the last one without the console output. It should work now with any Nikon DSLR. Please let me know if you encounter any problems with your camera.

  1. Alastair Moore,

Hello, fantastic application. Love it! Keep up the good work on this. Can you foresee a remote live view being implemented with this software? That would be perfect for doing macro photography.

  2. Joel Rosi-Schwartz,

Hi Stefan. Thanks for all of the effort you have put into this.

I will second the motion that live view will be the key to making this app be a killer.

    All the best,
    Joel

  3. Ruel Cordero,

Hi – I love your app. Is there a way you can add viewing thumbnails so I can see the shots previously taken and delete the bad shots?

    Thanks Bro

    Ruel

  4. Pierre Vigna,

    Hi,
Is Sofortbild working with Mac OS X 10.6.1 ? I test it and i can’t connect my D300…

    Thanks for your help.

  5. Pierre Vigna,

    Sorry,

It was a big mistake! I resolved the problem by switch on PTP mode in the D300 set up USB mode. All is running perfectly now.

  6. Frans Drent,

This app looks great. Nikon could not have made it better. This is what we all have been waiting for. Lay-out is perfect and the functions are what people need.
I agree that Live View would help.
Too bad for one thing, so I can’t really judge the application: I own a D300s, which is not yet supported. Cannot wait to do some testing and give feedback. So I hope support will soon be available.
The first thing that comes to my mind: does it support to show the focuspoint? The second thing: is it possible to show overlays with different grids (rule of thirds and diagonal).
Can be a top app for studio workers then.

  7. Peter B UK,

    Hi Stefan

Just found your program, I love it!! must have been hard work but its well appreciated my friend.

It would be fantastic to have the ability to use Live View within Sofortbild, is there any plans for this?

    Thanks again

    Peter

  8. Louis,

Please update for a Nikon D300s, you program is incredible but ever since i have upgraded to a D300s i cant use it.

    Thanks
    louis.

  9. Kim Hansen,

Almost perfect….except for the missing Live View option. With this feature added the app will be PERFECT. Hope to see it implemented soon. Thanks :)

  10. Jostein,

As stated by several. Live view would be absolutely terrific (it already is, save for this). Then you could easily start charging for your program. Hopefully (far) less than Nikon

  11. M Nguyen,

To the guy asking for thumbnails you can open your photo editing viewer like for photoshop you get the Adobe CS4 Bridge, this should give you instant thumbnails.

and to Stefan some serious kudos to you, application is smooth, solid and easy to use yet very very handy.

I too think Live view would be the Cherry on top.

  12. Emux,

    Hi Stefan,
    I own a D300s.
Sometimes Sofortbild didn’t recognize my camera and I Think that Live View mode and grids superimposed, as well as the AF point highlighted, should be really a good improvement in your, already great, application.
I’m waiting by hoping in an upgrade in this direction…
    Congratulaitons for your work!
    Emux

  13. W Chow,

    Hi

This is a great software and there are a couple of things that I will like to see it on the future release.

    1- LIVE view
2- Allow using new MBP trackpad with two fingers zoom and move the picture
