Sofortbild 1.0
I am really happy to announce that Nikon Control now is called Sofortbild. Sofortbild 1.0 is based on Nikon Control Beta 3 with some small bugfixes, new name and icon. In addition the Inspector now has a HUD design and there is a help book.
I would like to thank Mario Fraikin for his great work on the product icon and the other graphics used in Sofortbild. Without his help Sofortbild wouldn’t look so nice.
Please visit the Sofortbild Website to download the latest version. The website is temporary and will be updated soon with a new design and more information.
Stefan thanks for all your hard work and a really great app. Its great that its free but you could have charged something…..or why dont you make an iPhone App!
BTW the Apple remote works great-really neat feature…thanks again.
Hast Du was in der Hand?

Bin absolut begeistert!

Hi Stefan! This looks really nice, but apparently my D70 is not supported … could you maybe add this camera in some future version? I’d be happy to help with testing or development if you like :-)

Thank you.
Are you going to set up a Donate button, so we can make a contribution, or do you have an Amazon wish list people might like to help you with?
great stuff! looks very nice and also works very nice with my D80
Thank you so much for this!
There’s a couple of twitches that make me itch – is it necessary to rename the files? I’d really like to see a possibility to maintain the file numbering from the camera…
And also, as there’s no Lightroom support, is there a possibility to add a small browser/grid view? Even a little one that could be controlled with arrow buttons and/or Apple Remote… It’d be great to go back a few shots without switching from Sofortbild to Finder etc.
And if it is possible, maybe the fullscreen mode could keep the display fully lit all the time – it would help on location with my Macbook – the display could go asleep when you switch off the camera? But that isn’t necessary, just too used to the not-having-to-adjust-anything-on-Mac-for-a-certain-purpose (like Microsoft Messenger status changes to auto when I enter Lightroom ;)…
Man, add a small browser and the possibility to switch file renaming off, and I’ll definitely be donatin’!
Thanks Stefan, for a great app.
I am trying it now on my D40.
I like the D40 for its large pixels.
I also want to use this setup for astrophotography.
I can hook up Sofortbild to the D40 and shoot normal automatic images,
BUT when I try to go to bulb / manual mode, Sofortbild complains
that the camera is not set up properly
even though:
I can trigger the shot from the camera manually.
the picture shows up in Sofortbild normally, etc.
Ideas?
