  1. James,

    Hi Stefan,

GREAT job with the app (I’ve just given it 5 stars at the app store). However, one small improvement would be to make the icons in the list on the first screen a bit smaller so that both ‘decode’ options fit on the screen at the same time. Now I think about it, it would also be nice to be able to set a preferred type of code so that when you start the app it goes straight to your preference (i.e. since I usually use QR codes it defaults to that and I can skip the first screen and change my preference by exception).
Just my thoughts since you asked for feedback ;-)
    Cheers,
    James

  2. Marc,

I second the request about a preferred type of code. Maybe this can be included in a simple and more general “Settings” screen in a later version with other options. Can’t think of any right now :)

  3. Matej Novak,

    Hi Stefan,

the app is cool. What I’d really appreciate is decoding vCards generated using Nokia’s tool: http://mobilecodes.nokia.com/create.jsp?terms=accepted and the possibility to add the contact to address book. That’d be great!

Anyway, thanks for good work and keep on going!

  4. Edw,

function “Call Number” cannot work with any format
    like
    “Tel:12345678″ or even just “12345678″

  5. Friso,

I generated a SMS QR code on the http://qrcode.kaywa.com/ site.
The barcode app decoded the message to this:

    SMSTO:7171:DE GAME VRAAG 14

If I use the Send SMS action it puts the whole message in the Recipient box.
    SMSTO is the action
7171 is the Reciever of the message.
De game vraag 14 is the body of the message.

  6. Billy,

Seems ok if your code is 1″ x 1″ min.

  7. Cole,

    Hi Stefan,

Love the app, are you still working on it? Can i make a few quick suggestions?

    1) add “options/preferences” for swithing from DM / QR and default to on so that the user “gets right in”

    2) Auto try and decode the picture when it comes it, if it isn’t decodeable then ask the person to center it and try again. This will train the user to learn how to take “decodedable” pictures the first time by orientation and lighting.

    3) Allow for an “auto connect” option with automatically loads safari or or phone or email ect.. if it finds a valid string of that type in the barcode, and just put a little message that says, “Loading [barcode string] in [App_passed_to_name]

  8. Cole,

I just realized my first suggestion was the same as James’ and Mark’s.

    James and Mark,
Sorry about that. Reading is harder than it looks.

    Stefan,
Ditto what James and Mark said.

    :-)

    Cole

  9. Cole Parker,
