On Thursday May 29, 2008 7:00 PM will be our first public meeting where I will present “iPhone DataMatrix Reader from Zero to Hero”, a mini workshop about iPhone programming.

Festival de Cannes

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

Actually I should now be in Cannes on the Croisette for the Festival de Cannes. I received an accreditation for the festival but due to some more or less unexpected incidents (which I don’t want to talk about) only Bastian and Andreas are now in Cannes.

I might possibly drive to Cannes on Sunday with Roland to attend the world premiere of the new Indiana Jones movie but that’s not sure yet.

Update: Due to the weather forcast we decided not to go. I hope to find next year time to attend the festival.

WWDC 2007 report complete

Monday, May 12th, 2008

I just finished my detailed WWDC 2007 report. It’s in German, but with a lot of pictures. Now I just have to write reports for the New York trip with my sister and the France holiday with my family. This will again take some time.

First iPhone App

Friday, May 9th, 2008

I just installed my first iPhone application on my iPhone. It’s a Datamatrix Barcode Reader that I wrote on the second day the iPhone SDK was released. I had to make some changes because the SDK slightly changed. But now it’s working.

There are still some bugs in the latest SDK and the interaction between iPhone and Xcode is sometimes buggy. But it is really cool to see the stuff really running on the device.
